The Journey collection is about 120 years of history. During 2023 we will go through
this centenary course in four different moments. We start with the present and go back
to the very first day: Animals, Minimalism, Baroque and Art Nouveau.
Silver animals have been part of ALCINO’s work and creativity since the brand’s first years of activity. The giraffe is a one of a kind animal. It means balance in nature. But more importantly, it’s a metaphor of looking into the future. It is an animal that, due to its physiognomy, stares at the most distant. It has a unique appearance, so working its texture is an authentic work of art.
The first moment of the Journey collection symbolizes ALCINO’s ambition to: continue to remember the past in order to keep building the future. Our heart is at the beginning of this story, our hands build the present and our eyes are focused on the future and on what remains to be discovered. That is why we need to go back to where it all started. This is the starting point of the Journey collection.
Minimalism marked a new phase in the history of ALCINO. It is an invitation to freedom and to experience it. But more importantly, it meant a challenge to the evident, without forgetting the journey that lead to it. The irreverence of Minimalism lies in a radicality that frees and detaches. It is not in the reducing sense of anti-consumption. The goal is to express a unique and authentic way of being that becomes amplified in this centuries-old history.
We share with you an inside look on our history. The first moment brings together 18 pieces of jewellery. All products are handcrafted in 925 silver.
